About Playa AI — origin, structure, the people behind the initiative, how the work is organized, and how to participate.

Playa AI is an early-stage, human-centered AI initiative developing consent frameworks, community experiments, tools, and public-interest research rooted in creativity and participation. Playa AI is a human-centered AI initiative, part of Mystic Arts Foundation’s California 501(c)(3). The initiative grew out of field work at Burning Man and operates year-round, building open frameworks for consent-first AI design.
